Puppy Visits — Bexleyheath
Puppy visits in Bexleyheath
Midday check-ins for puppies and young dogs home alone — so they're not left too long.
Getting a puppy and then going back to work is one of the most stressful parts of early dog ownership. You know they can't be left for hours at a time. You know they need toilet breaks, company and stimulation. But work doesn't stop just because you've got a new puppy, and you can't be home every two hours.
Our puppy visit service in Bexleyheath solves this problem. We come to your home during the day — at midday, or whenever the gap in your puppy's schedule is longest — and spend 30 to 45 minutes with them. Toilet break outside, fresh water, play, fuss, a bit of basic training reinforcement if you want it, and then a message and photo to you so you know they're doing fine.

It's a simple service, but for a puppy home alone, a midday visit genuinely changes how they cope with the day. And for you, it means going to work without spending the whole morning worrying about what state you're going to come home to.

What happens during a puppy visit
Arrival — straight outside for a toilet break
The moment we arrive, we take your puppy outside for a toilet break. This is the priority. Young dogs can't hold it for long, and getting them outside immediately reinforces the right behaviour — toileting outside rather than in the house. We always prioritise this over anything else at the start of a visit.
Play, attention and enrichment
Once the toilet break is done, we spend proper time with your puppy. Play, fuss, toys, mental stimulation. Puppies left alone for long stretches get bored and anxious — and bored, anxious puppies do damage. Giving them 20 minutes of proper engagement during the day makes a significant difference to how they behave for the rest of it.
Training reinforcement (optional)
If you're working on something specific — sit, stay, coming when called, not jumping up — we can incorporate that into the visit. Consistent reinforcement during the day, not just in the evenings, speeds up the learning process significantly. Just tell us what you're working on and we'll build it in.
Photo update to you
After every visit, we send you a message and a photo. How they were when we arrived, whether they toileted outside, how they were during the visit, anything worth knowing. You shouldn't be sitting at work guessing how they're doing.

An important service
Why puppy visits make such a difference
Puppies under around six months shouldn't be left alone for more than two hours at a time. The guidance varies slightly depending on the breed and individual dog, but the general principle is consistent: long stretches alone at a young age cause problems that are hard to fix later.
Separation anxiety, destructive behaviour, toileting inside, excessive barking — these are all common consequences of puppies being left alone for too long in the early months. They're not being naughty. They're distressed. And the damage — both to your home and to your dog's developing behaviour patterns — can take months to undo.
A midday visit doesn't just stop the immediate problem. It shapes the way your puppy learns to cope with being alone. Dogs that are checked on regularly during the day develop better tolerance for being alone as they get older, because they learn that being alone is temporary and manageable rather than frightening.

Not just for puppies
The service is called puppy visits because that's who most of our customers book it for. But it works just as well for older dogs that struggle with being left alone, dogs recovering from illness or surgery who need more frequent check-ins, or any dog that benefits from a midday break in a long day.
If your dog has separation anxiety, gets destructive when left, or you've just noticed they don't cope well on days when you're out for a long stretch — a midday visit is worth trying.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How long is each visit?
Visits are typically 30–45 minutes — long enough for a proper toilet break, play and attention, and to leave your pup settled again before we go. We can discuss timing when you book if you need something slightly different.
Can I have more than one visit per day?
Yes — for very young puppies (under 12 weeks especially), two visits a day is often the right call. We can work out a schedule that fits your hours and your puppy's needs. Just let us know when you get in touch.
How do you access my home?
Most customers either give us a spare key or install a key safe. We go through the access arrangement when you book so you're comfortable with everything before visits start. All key holding is covered by our insurance.
What if my puppy isn't toilet trained yet?
That's exactly the situation our service is designed for. We take them outside immediately on arrival, which is the most effective single thing you can do during toilet training. If there's been an accident before we arrive, we'll deal with it without fuss and let you know.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on visit length, frequency and how many visits per day you need. Get in touch and we'll give you a clear price based on your specific situation.
